Juvenile Department

The Juvenile Court is a department of the Superior Court, which hears matters involving juvenile offenders, truancy, at-risk youth (BECCA), and child dependency cases.

There is one full-time elected Judge who hears all matters in Superior Court. A Judge Pro Tempore can act in the absence of the elected Judge when needed.

Services

Pacific County Juvenile Court provides legal intervention for youth up to 18 years of age who have been arrested and/or charged with criminal activity or have legal issues pursuant to a civil procedure. The Juvenile Court provides Court Services, Probation Services, Guardian ad Litem (GAL), and Detention Services to the citizens of Pacific County.
